Living Room Interior Design
The challenge of this project was to incorporate the client's disparate antique seating into one cohesive design that felt light and neutral, while preserving her beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. I used colors in the area rug as inspiration for the greens, golds, and creams used elsewhere in the room.
Custom Window Treatments
I sourced a massive sofa to anchor the space and found coordinating fabrics to re-upholster her treasured family heirlooms. My client had very specific requirements for her window treatments. She doesn't care for drapery hardware, the fabric had to be neutral and the window treatments could not block her magnificent view. I designed these box pleat valances with single panels beneath that appear to 'float' around each window. The tone on tone stripe was railroaded for the valances to create interest.
