4 Fabulous Color Pairings
2015 Color Trends During the first few months of each year, the various fabric and paint companies come out with their "color of the year." These colors cross all areas of design from fashion to flooring.
Let's start with PANTONE's Color of the Year, Marsala. Like the wine it's a rich red with beautiful brown undertones. As red is an appetite stimulant, this color would be great in a dining room or kitchen. Color harmonies with marsala include teal and golden metallics.
Benjamin Moore’s color of the year is part of their Historic color collection – Guilford Green.
Inspired by the documented colors found in 18th and 19th century architecture, these classic, inviting tones continue to work beautifully in today's décor, as green is considered nature's neutral, it pairs beautifully with all these colors.
Guilford Green would look lovely on a wall, with a chenille sofa in Carter Plum with Cinnamon Slate and Portland Grey pillows for a restful retreat.
If you’re in the mood for happy colors, try Sherwin Williams color of the year…Coral Reef. It certainly brings a sandy beach and sunny sky to mind.
It pairs beautifully with so many colors…like this pillow, for example.

Finally, Robert Allen’s color of the year is Calypso Blue. Bright and vibrant, it pairs with all three of the other color trends and adds the perfect pop of color.
