A Complete Home Redecoration

with Downsizing in Mind

This lovely couple decided they wanted to be in the middle of the action in vibrant Morristown so they sold their Tudor home and moved to a townhome steps away from The Green. The four story townhome was spacious, but the rooms were all considerably smaller than their previous home which required sourcing furniture for all but two rooms.

Family Room Design Makeover

Starting with a neutral palette, we pulled colors from their art collection to accent each floor. On the first floor, the russet from their artwork can be seen in the rug, pillows and window treatments.  Fuscia adds a pop of color in the custom florals and again on the velvet pillows on the second floor.   Scaled down, yet comfortable seating was sourced for their family room where they gather with family and friends.

Bedroom & Home Office Makeover

On the third floor, a platform bed with built-in nightstands and storage beneath was the perfect solution for their cozy master bedroom.  As drapery panels take up space visually, I designed custom valances for each bedroom.  A pair of day beds accommodate their overnight guests.  And down in the rec room, I designed a built-in 'office for two' for those days when they both work from home.
